Cheryl Webb-Ervin
Human Resource Manager and College & Career Coordinator
Why Miami Children’s Initiative?
MCI has a strong track record of going the extra mile for the residents of Liberty City ensuring they receive proper healthcare, high school equivalent education, college, as well as career development. After hearing about MCI’s successful impact, I knew this organization was where I could thrive in my passion to help assist others and positively influence individuals.
What’s the best part of your work?
I enjoy working with the residents and seeing their smile after hearing a successful outcome of how our Career and College Development services helped them achieve success.
What’s your most memorable MCI experience?
My most memorable experience is when I heard that the residents interested in furthering their post-secondary education, were accepted for a prestigious professional program at Miami-Dade College, Year Up Program, that will help them further their career paths.
How has MCI impacted your life?
MCI has impacted my life by allowing me to help others succeed in their lives and achieve their goals and aspirations.
Please name your favorite childhood character real or imaginary.
Superman is my favorite character because he always finds the good in others and will give his all to help assist others. Also, no one can beat Superman! And yes, using Kryptonite like Batman did is a disgraceful move and he should be ashamed of himself.
